Learn to throw on the wheel in my Portland studio. Half-day and full-day sessions for beginners and experienced potters. Small groups, personal instruction, all materials included.
From conversation to kiln to your table
We start with a call or email. Tell me what you need, how you will use it, what colors and forms speak to you. I will share glaze samples and past work that might inspire direction.
I send a detailed proposal with pricing, timeline, and glaze options. A 50% deposit secures your place in the studio schedule. The balance is due before shipping.
Your pieces are thrown on the wheel, trimmed, dried slowly, bisque fired, glazed by hand, and glaze fired to 2300°F. I send progress photos along the way.
Once finished, I photograph the work and send images for your approval. Pieces are carefully wrapped in custom packaging designed for ceramics and shipped with insurance.

Commissioned a full dinnerware set for my restaurant. The guests notice. They comment on the plates, ask where they came from. That is the kind of detail that elevates a dining experience.
The workshop was the most grounding three hours I have had in years. Elena is patient, funny, and deeply skilled. I came in stressed and left with muddy hands and a clear head.
We commissioned 200 mugs as corporate gifts. Every single one was beautiful and unique. Our clients still talk about them. Best branded gift we have ever given.
